On February 26, 2024 in the city of Doha, Qatar, Mr. Juan Carlos Trabanino Aguirre, Executive Director – CEO and the President of the Civil Aviation Authority of the State of Qatar and Ministers of Transport together with the Directors of Aviation Civil Aviation Authority of Costa Rica, Lic. Fernando Naranjo, the Director of the Honduran Civil Aviation Agency, Lic. Gerardo Rivera and the Director of Operations of the Civil Aviation Authority of Belize, Ms. Ronise Caliz, carried out the signing of Memorandum of Understanding of Cooperation in the field of civil aviation between the Central American Corporation of Air Navigation Services (COCESNA) and the Civil Aviation Authority of the State of Qatar (QCAA). The objective of this Memorandum is to establish a framework between the Parties for the interests of civil aviation with the State of Qatar and the Central American Region, in order to bring specialized courses and exchange of training and qualified skills to the personnel of our Member States and the Corporation.
The signatory Parties will develop and carry out joint cooperation channels in the following areas:
1- Aviation Security
2- Air Traffic Management
3- Security and Facilitation of Civil Aviation
4- Meteorological Services
5- Legal Matters
6- Aeronautical Maintenance
