COCESNA and THALES USA, INC, sign on April 19, 2024, in the city of San Salvador, El Salvador, a Contract for the Supply, Technical Assistance, Training, Testing and Commissioning of two (2) ILS-DME Systems and nine (9) DVOR/DME Systems and CLS Logistics Support, which will allow continuing with the renewal of ground-based radio aids for the main airports of the Member States of Central America, including the SW update of existing DVOR and a logistical support service to guarantee the continuity and operation of the radio aids during their useful life.
Mr. Juan Carlos Trabanino, Executive Director-CEO of COCESNA and Mrs. Sonu Goel, Vice President NAS of Thales, were satisfied with the work carried out and expressed their broad approval for the fruitful relationship for many years, relevant factors that foster the strengthening of the ties of cooperation between both entities.
The supply and assistance contracted with Thales allows economic savings, standardization and compatibility of equipment, will minimize the acquisition of spare parts by virtue of the homologation of the systems, as well as the reduction of installation and commissioning costs when carried out by personnel. of COCESNA with the technical assistance of THALES, in compliance with the Comprehensive Investment Plan approved by the Board of Directors of COCESNA.
