COCESNA as a specialized aviation institution of the Central American Integration System (SICA), in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Goal 5 “Promote the Sustainable Development of Air Transport in COCESNA Member States and Corporate Social Responsibility” of the Corporate Strategic Plan 2020-2025.

Taking into account that social responsibility is the willingness of organizations to incorporate social and environmental elements in decision making and accountability for the social and environmental impacts of their activities.

In congruence with the above, we are committed to the promotion of a transparent and ethical multilevel performance in strict compliance with the applicable legislation and beyond.

COCESNA, as an international organization, a reference in the international airline industry, bases its Social and Environmental Responsibility Policy on the following axes:

  • Organizational climate and quality of life (CUIDARTE):

    To ensure the quality of life of the Corporation’s employees and their families, seeking to manage benefits and benefits in addition to those provided by law. At the same time, it permanently promotes activities that contribute to an adequate and safe work environment, especially in the face of the challenges posed by COVID-19 and other conditions.

  • Environment and climate change (AMBIENTARTE)

    Promote the Environmental Management and Climate Change (EMCC) process, promoting the spheres of action established in the Green Book, aimed at improving environmental performance by reducing CO2 emissions, energy and water efficiency and optimizing the use of materials.

  • Communications with strategic partners (COMUNICARTE):

    Strategically manage communication with the Corporation’s stakeholders in a prompt and timely manner.

  • Social responsibility in neighboring areas (SOLIDARIZARTE):

    Promote activities that positively impact the quality of life of people living in the areas surrounding COCESNA’s sites and infrastructure.

In accordance with this commitment and taking into account the processes of COCESNA’s Management System, a common framework is established for the definition of a plan through which objectives and indicators are established to contribute to the implementation of the axes that make up this Policy.

The team responsible for its implementation is the Corporate Social Responsibility Force, which is formed in a multidisciplinary manner to guarantee the internalization of the axes in the Corporation and to comply with the needs and expectations of the interested parties.
